Privacy notice

This website is run by DatumPro, 5553 Hwy 145, Shannon, MS, USA. In this notice, “we” means DatumPro.

The site keeps what you type into its three forms, and emails it to our inbox so we can answer you. It counts page views without cookies, and the counts hold nothing about who viewed a page. Visitors get no cookies, and the site loads nothing from other companies: no outside scripts, fonts, analytics or advertising.

Contact (/contact): your name, work email and message; your company and phone number, if you give them; and the topic you pick from the list.

Book a demo (/book-a-demo): your name, work email and company; your phone number, when suits you and what you want to see, if you give them; what you build and how many people would use it, both picked from a list; and, if you came from a plan’s button on the pricing page, which plan that was.

Partner enquiry (/partners): your name, work email, company and what you have in mind; the partner track you pick from the list; and the region you cover, if you give it.

With each submission the server also stores the date and time it arrived, and the description your browser sends of itself with every request (its “user agent”: usually the browser’s name and version, and your operating system).

Each form also has a hidden field that people never see but spam tools tend to fill in. A submission that arrives with it filled in is thrown away: nothing is stored and nobody is emailed.

We use what you send to answer you and to follow up on what you asked about: replying to a message, arranging a demo, or talking about a partnership. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell what you send or share it for advertising.

When a form arrives, the server sends one plain-text email about it to our inbox, through our email provider. The email contains everything you sent in the form. Its reply-to address is yours, so our answer goes straight to you.

We also count how many of each kind of form arrive. Those totals carry no names.

Submissions are stored in a database on the server that runs this website, and the notification email is kept in our inbox.

The people at DatumPro who answer enquiries read them in that email and on the site’s administration pages, which need a password.

Apart from that email, the website sends your details nowhere: no customer-relationship software, no mailing-list tool, no advertising network.

We keep submissions so we can answer you and follow up. Nothing deletes them automatically.

If you would like yours deleted, write to info@datumpro.net. We will delete it from the website’s database, along with the notification email about it.

The site counts page views so we can see which pages are read. When you open a page, your browser tells the server which page it was, and the server adds one to that page’s count for the day.

That count is all that is kept: no IP address, no cookie and nothing about your browser. It says how many times a page was viewed each day, and nothing about who viewed it.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the site does not count your visits at all.

Every request your browser makes carries your IP address and a description of the browser, as it does on any website.

The server uses your IP address to answer the request, and to stop anyone flooding the forms, the page counter or the administrators’ sign-in: it keeps a count of recent requests from each address and turns away one that sends too many. That count is held only in the server’s memory, is never written to the database, and is forgotten within half an hour of the last request.

It uses the browser description to leave search-engine crawlers and similar automated tools out of the page counts. The only place it is stored is with a form submission, as described above.

The site sets no cookies for visitors, and it does not use your browser’s local storage either.

The one cookie it uses is a sign-in cookie for our own administrators, named dp_admin. It is set when one of them signs in at /admin, holds only an expiry time and a signature, and lasts until they sign out or eight hours pass.

Everything a page loads comes from this website’s own server: its text, fonts, pictures and video clips. The site loads no outside scripts, fonts, analytics, advertising or social media buttons.

Some pages link to other websites. This notice does not cover those sites.

This notice covers this website only. It does not cover the DatumPro application or the information held in it.

When what the site collects changes, this notice changes with it. The effective date at the top shows when the current version took effect.
